Here’s a list of the highest points in each of Canada’s 10 provinces, along with the best highway viewing points:
- Ontario – Ishpatina Ridge (692 m / 2,270 ft) – Best view from Highway 11/17 near Moosonee.
- Quebec – Mont d’Iberville (1,652 m / 5,420 ft) – No highway viewing point; accessible only by hiking or flying.
- British Columbia – Mount Fairweather (4,663 m / 15,300 ft) – Best view from the Alaska Highway (Hwy 97) near the BC-Alaska border.
- Alberta – Mount Columbia (3,747 m / 12,303 ft) – Best view from the Icefields Parkway (Hwy 93) near Lake Louise.
- Saskatchewan – Cypress Hills (1,496 m / 4,913 ft) – Best view from Highway 37 near the SK-MB border.
- Manitoba – Baldy Mountain (807 m / 2,648 ft) – Best view from Highway 6 near Falcon Lake.
- Nova Scotia – Cape Split (283 m / 928 ft) – No highway viewing point; accessible only by hiking or a scenic drive on Route 3.
- New Brunswick – Mount Carleton (820 m / 2,690 ft) – Best view from the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) near Doaktahrow.
- Prince Edward Island – PEI High Point (142 m / 466 ft) – No highway viewing point; accessible only by hiking or a scenic drive on Route 243.
- Newfoundland and Labrador – Mount Caubvick (823 m / 2,700 ft) – Best view from the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) near Springdale.
